The game that set the standard for shooters is coming to Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Codes with access to Doom I and Doom II will be sent to those who pre-order DOOM on Xbox One.

DOOM reboots the Doom series in a big way!

Unlike the original Dark Souls backwards compatibility with DS3 pre-order announcement, this one wasn’t leaked. Pre-order Doom for Xbox One and you’ll receive the code for both Doom I and Doom II. Within 7-10 days you’ll receive a message from Xbox with the codes and you’ll be able to play them on backwards compatibility for free.

Here’s the official statement with the Xbox One pre-order:

“For a limited time, pre-order DOOM and receive DOOM I and DOOM II. The codes will be delivered to your Xbox message center in 7-10 days. You can redeem your codes on Xbox One or at xbox.com/redeemcode.”

On top of receiving the game that set the tone for first person shooters, you’ll also get some sweet bonuses for the newest installment.

“Pre-order now and also receive the Demon Multiplayer Pack, which includes one, unique Demon-themed armor set with three skin variations, six Hack Modules—one-use consumable perks—six exclusive metallic paint colors, and three id® logo patterns that can be applied to weapons and armor.”

There’s a lot to be excited for so head over to the Xbox Store and get the newest Doom, Doom I and Doom II for one price and play them all on Xbox One.
