Character classes and customization takes the spotlight for this newsletter as we get all kinds of information about how and what we’re going to play in the Eternal Crusade. As they expand on the prototype loadout system, Chan explains that the loadouts will consist of rewards from previous battles as well as unlocks from the character progression tree. While each class allows for different playstyles, the customization of offensive and defensive play can really set you apart from other players.
Chan had this to say about character progression:
At some point during your character progression, you can also unlock veteran versions of basic classes whose loadouts have more points and access to exclusive item types. Then there are also Elite & Hero characters that have a mix of unique fixed items and a few optional item slots… you make a character, advance that character, then it’s carnage for the greater glory of you and your faction through campaigns and territorial conquest.
If you want to get involved with Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, you can jump in to the early access alpha. While not everything is perfect right now, Behaviour Interactive is confident their game will deliver on all of the hype.
