2ARC with some insane talent choices to counter Illidan!

Image titleIllidan has been a nasty hero for both competitive and casual scene for a long time. Probably, i should say had been. New patch looks like we will rarely see him in-game. So, guys from 2ARC made some unusual talent choices to punish their opponents for picking the Betrayer. In both games, described in the article below, they went with Tyrael, Uther, Falstad, The Lost Vikings and Kael against Illidan lineups. The comps are looking more or less standard, but the surprise lays in the talent choices. Kael’thas went Pyroblast, Tyrael went Sanctification, and Uther went Divine Storm. Watch the results in the video below.

After a streak of amazing results and performances the deal is finally sealed - Team Arthas will be no more, as they are acquired by Russian esport organization Virtus.Pro! Results of Team Arthas have been truly great. In the last month they managed not only to win a qualifier for one the biggest Heroes tournament to date (MSI MGA), but also finished #1 in Heroes Major League Europe Season 2, Go4Heroes Cup#28, and ZOTAC Heroes of the Storm Cup#12! Congratulations to Team Arthas! You can find official announcement, discussion thread, and recent performance of Team Arthas by the links below.

Gamers2 to bench two of their Heroes of the Storm players!

Image title

Well, this will be hard! The guys from Gamers2 had been playing together since November last year! The whole situation looks very strange to me. If you read the manager’s statement, you will see that they are blaming one player for the loss in the series. To be honest, it is a first time i see such behavior from the organization. Yeah, Gamers2 has been on the losing streak and missed some major victories, but that’s not how you solve this kind of issues! Instead of blaming one or two players for losses managers and staff should support the team in such moments. I don’t know all details of the issue, maybe there is something else involved like personal conflict, but judging by the statement it feels like the decision making is very bad and unprofessional. I wish Gamers2 Heroes of the Storm team best of luck in finding the right solution for the whole situation! Discussion and official statement are by the links below.

ZP and Nick are now in Tempo Storm

Image title
No, no, Tempo Storm doesn’t have seven member roster now! They added ZP and Nick as the official streamers for Tempo Storm gaming powerhouse. For some time, ZP was competing with top NA teams, but then switched to full time streamer activity. NickHots, on the other hand, has been streaming from the beginning. They both are well known not only in the NA community, but also worldwide, and that means that TS are doing great in terms of fan base growth.

Heroes of the Storm to appear at IEM Shenzhen

Image title
Not the first, but the nearest Heroes of the Storm cross-regional tournament is said to commence on 20th of July! Intel Extreme Masters are series of premier worldwide tournaments, and it is a pleasure to see Heroes as one of the games represented on the tournament! The tournament will last for one day and will have four teams. Two teams are already announced - Virtus.Pro (Russia) and MVP.Black (Korea), and two more teams from China will be announced soon. The bracket will be Single Elimination with BO3 series. Prize pool is 10000$, and First place winner gets 5000$. There will also be StarCraft II, as another game discipline. I’m super excited to see this tournament, part of the reason is it is one of the cross-regional tournaments, and they are not so common these days!

Roccat to participate in DreamHack Valencia!

Image title
Sadly, Fnatic decided to forfeit from DreamHack! Reasons are still unknown! To determine the last slot of the tournament organizers decided to create a small tournament between the teams that finished in Quarterfinals of the original DreamHack Valencia qualifier. The teams are Roccat, Puszek, Kappa123 and Gryphus. On 2nd of July these teams battled each other in the BO3 format with Single Elimination bracket. Roccat came out victorious, and are now 4th participant of the DreamHack Valencia tournament. On 16th of July they will be joined by Team Liquid, Gamers2, and Natus Vincere in a fight for solid prize pool and spot in future tournaments. Congratulations to Team Roccat, they have improved a lot for last few months!
