A lifelong gamer that was first drawn in by the challenge they posed, but hooked by the beautiful, immersive worlds that can only be found in gaming.
I want to see video games continue to push the boundaries with bigger and bolder ideas; less sequels and more new IPs. The best way to do that is to be as honest a critic as you can be, no free passes.
I am a Freelance Video Game Journalist, and I'm trying to build a career in the field. It takes a lot of hard work, so thank you to anyone that has read any of my articles! Aside from writing and video games, I also love reading, archery, running, hiking, watching superhero movies, and spending time with my best friend.
South African by descent, but a gamer by choice. I like writing. I like gaming. I'm a girl. Those are three sentences rarely said together, but should be. What else defines me as a person? Oreo McFlurrys. And RPGs. Put them together and you have yourself the perfect Saturday night.
Cranky college student by day, slightly less cranky college student by night and above all obsessed with the RTS genre. One time when I was a kid I spent nine and a half hours continuously playing Lego Star Wars 2 and then never played it again. I'm at my happiest when I can sit back and relax while pondering the geopolitical quagmire that is Tamriel in the 4th age.
Just a fair journalist, always bouncing from one site or another, I write reviews and various articles on the gaming industry. While being mostly PC-centric, I do own consoles to cover the spectrum of releases, always looking to try new things in things and always going back to old classics like Megaman and Kingdom Hearts for reminders of what passionate game design is like.
I primarily like nostalgic games. At least that's for leisure. When I'm playing with my friends I'll play anything. I've only started going on Steam in the past year. I also think it's an amazing service. I prefer it more than my consoles sometimes.
David Lozada is an Italian/Latino New York City-based writer whose passions include music, anime, cosplay, movies, bike riding, video games, and just being an all-around nerd. He's always out and about, going to anime and gaming conventions alike across America and posting all of his shenanigans on social media for the world to see. If you bump into him, wherever he may be, don't be shy to say hello!
Hi, guys! My name is Dmytro. I'm 26 years old. I have been playing computer games since I was 3. Over the years, I played dozens of games. It is hard to remember or name them all. In my games section, you'll find the games that I have played/'am playing now.
Hey there! I'm Ewan. I've been writing for various publications over the past few years and have finally found myself writing for KeenGamer. I collect video games, amassing a collection of over 1100 games for various consoles. Other than that I don't really do much else, I write, I read and I game.
I also do a lot of karaoke, although have the ability to sing like a bear that has recently had throat surgery.
An enthusiast video game journalist, Gabriel is from Northeastern Brazil. Growing up with nothing but a GBC he fell in love with the industry and after acquiring his first computer, he made up his lack of previous experience with extensive research and hours upon hours playing titles such as Phantasy Star Online, FINAL FANTASY, and Dark Souls. Today Gabriel is the proud owner of an ever-growing Steam account, an old Nintendo DSi and an autographed photo of Kit Harington.
I'm Jake, you're not. I'm sarcastic, British, a Whovian, a YouTuber, a Slytherin, the Sultan of Brunei, Annoying, and have a tendency to lie when listing things (I'm actually a Ravenclaw).
I play video games and write things. Not always at the same time though, as that's pretty difficult. I admire anyone who can, though.
Favourite games for selected consoles:
PC: Worms Armageddon PS1: Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon PS2: The Simpsons: Hit and Run PS3: The Last of Us (even though, technically, I played it on PS4) PS4: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 360: Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 One: Don't have one, as I sold it because I'd rather not play a game of Minesweeper just to load up a game, after waiting an hour for the disc to install.
Other notable games/series include TES (personally I prefer Oblivion to Skyrim in all but mechanics - except for lockpicking. Oblivion's lockpicking was boss), Fallout New Vegas, LEGO Racers, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Crash Bandicoot, Rock Band 3, and, rather boringly, OMSI Bus Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2, because they're mindless procrastination fodder.
I can be found making Let's Plays and other rubbish content on YouTube- http://www.youtube.com/DevilboyScooby
I'm one of those people that loves video-games. But , perhaps more importantly , I love the industry. I play pretty much anything that is served in front of me ; with particular fancy to single player story driven experiences and a dislike for sports games. (obviously). I've ventured my way from Nintendo , through Xbox and am now a proud Playstation supporter. I'd rather not start wars over consoles , but rather the rising amount of trash that fills our digital stores - I also like to rant. When I'm not playing games , I'm reading about them ; and when I'm not reading , I'm writing about them.
Hey, I'm a very busy man with not much of a plan. I'm currently seeking employment to help support myself through this last year of college, and I write reviews here, for your approval. I mostly do retro or last-gen titles, since I'm not wealthy enough to grab new games and I tend to prefer AAA or generally well-built games to cookie-cutter indie titles or similar. I love horror and action, and will most certainly try anything that seeks to combine the two!
Whether it's dancing on the streets of Paris or swimming with the dolphins in the Dominican Republic, you can find Jessica anywhere in the world at any given moment. While she calls Washington, DC her home, she currently lives in Dublin, Ireland and spends most of her day studying for her MBA. Growing up in a Japanese household, gaming was always a part of her life. Video games brought her family together and she has kept the tradition alive ever since. In her free time, she also enjoys photography, traveling, running, dancing, and Krav Maga.
Joel Franey was born in 1994, at midnight in the midst of floods, pestilence and famine. It was said that he would reveal himself to the world in order to bring about an age of darkness, and that only a true hero could slay this terrible beast.
The hero showed up later on, but Joel complained at him until he went away. He plans to begin the aforementioned age of darkness "when I've got some bloody time in my schedule, alright?"
A young and limber guy who likes games as much as he likes life. I play a lot, an excessive almost sickening amount of video games. I almost have my Bachelor's degree in Media Studies with a minor in Film Studies. Basically I'm a nerd who likes anything technology, I build PC's and play mostly PC games. I also have a youtube, youtube.com/aburntturkey and a twitch, twitch.tv/aburntturkey I know a lot about tech and hardware also mobile devices!
~ See you all in the article/ game review section ;)
I know the names, types and evolved forms of all 151 original Pokemon. I used to play Command and Conquer: Red Alert so much that I dreamt of completing the campaign every night. I've played over 1000 hours of Civilization V. I once played a 16 hour game of Risk and won. I have a deep appreciation for llamas, pandas and pizza. My elbows can bend about 30° in the wrong direction, obviously I use this to freak people out. I have a spectacular wife and a beautiful baby boy, he has my eyes.
If that's not a complete life then I don't know what is.
I'm 20 years old and I've been a gamer since I was 10, when I fell into the wonderful and amazing world of MMORPG's that led me to experience heavier game genres in the long run such as action, adventure, simulation and strategy. I do tend to focus a little bit more on Role-Playing type of games, because it's my root in the gaming world, but I intend to cover every news and make reviews of any interesting and relevant game around. I also like to talk about controversial titles, anyone remember No Man's Sky ? Yeah, I like to talk about this kind of contoversial titles, so you all can expect that too. My writing style is personal and close to the reader while trying not to be too informal.
Hello! My name is Michael Keener, and I am an aspiring student of Business, with a passion for writing about videogames. I've been participating in the journalist community for awhile now and have loved every minute of it. My goal is to bring enjoyment and personal opinions that may help you make the hard choice between which games to play next.
I'm a dad, and a long time gamer going right back to the days of Pac Man and Kings Quest 3. My favourite pass time has lead me into becoming a freelance writer, researching and expressing my love for gaming through the written word.
Hey! My names Michael, im an aspiring video game reviewer, recently finished college after passing a two year course in video game development. Trying to achieve my goal as becoming a full time video game journalist, along with writing for this site i also write for my own blog and also have my own YouTube channel!
I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan and also a movie lover. My favorite movie of all time is The Dark Knight. I make youtube videos as well as write about all kinds of things. I hope to continue making people happy with gaming news and one day write stories for video games!
I'm a mid-twenties lady from Scotland, who has a mad obsession with video games, and everything that goes along with them since I was about 3 years old. I mostly play FPS's and RPG's but also love a good third person shooter, and will honestly play just about anything. My favourite games of all time are 1. Mass Effect 1 (even though 2 is the best in the trilogy), 2. Borderlands 2, and 3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
I am generally an optimistic person, easy going and laid back. Just started trying to get into video game journalism as a career and studied the art on various websites for about 30 minutes last week. Now, I will hope to have a long and prosperous career with this site and the many who will hopefully read the content presented. On my days off I usually watch kids and enjoy whatever comes to mind, be it a game, movie, show, or just going out with friends or family. Overall, I live simple, yet enjoyable, life.
Console gamer primarily since the days of the SEGA Mega Drive II. I enjoy all sorts of genres but love to sink my teeth into massive RPGs that I will happily dedicate months to. Favourite console is the PS2 thanks to some brilliant memories of Final Fantasy X and Timesplitters 2
Rob is a Gamer, Reader, and Writer. He is a huge fan of Retro consoles such as Snes and PSX and streams their games here and there. He often is found reading Brandon Sanderson or Jim Butcher while listening to Bowie. Hope you enjoy the things he writes, cheers.
I was born in Oxford in 1998 and have been gaming for almost my entire life. I want to see this industry evolve as a storytelling medium and deliver experiences that stay with people. Interactivity is a narrative device that only games can employ, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it can take us.
A good ol' boy from South Carolina, I now live in the Land of the Rising Sun, training under only the best samurai and fighting giant robots...and occasionally finding the time to play games. I'm into movies, music, books, foreign languages, and of course, video games.
A college student who spends more time playing video games than focusing on their school work (and is admittedly unashamed of it). When not playing with friends online they can be found attempting to do school work, and participating in Aikido.
