Cloud Gaming Service Liquid Sky Now Has A Free Tier
Cloud gaming platform LiquidSky, which is currently in beta for Mac, Windows, Linux, and Android and raised $4 million in funding back in September, has announced a free tier for their platform at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show which basically allows users to watch ads in exchange for time on the service.

Specifically, users can watch six minutes of ads in exchange for an hour of playtime for up to three hours of time per day. Watching ads unlocks Sky Credits, which can be spent on different PCs with different specs. These PCs include specs set at a 2GB GPU, 3vCPU Cores, and 8 GB RAM, a 4 GB GPU, 6vCPU Cores, and 8 GB RAM, or a 8 GB GPU, 6vCPU Cores, and 16 GB RAM. Of course, if users want to play more they can either pay as they continue or pay $40 a month for the unlimited plan.

LiquidSky runs on mobile devices as well as PCs and allows users to stream games from the cloud to any device with a screen, inputs, and an Internet connection, meaning that the their device doesn't have to be up to today's latest standards to play.

What do you think of the service? Could this be the future of gaming as we know it? Let us know in the comments below!
