Series mastermind Michel Ancel took to Instagram yesterday seemingly teasing a new character for the long-awaited next entry in the Beyond Good and Evil franchise.
Followed by the caption "Endangered species—now saved—Game in pre-production—Stay tuned!", this all but confirms the game's existence. The picture can be found below:
What's more is that publisher Ubisoft told Eurogamer in an interview that “Michel is currently sharing his time between Ubisoft and Wild Sheep studios. The artwork he posted is from the game he's currently working on at Ubisoft. We don't have anything further to share at this stage.”
And, as if all the evidence so far wasn't enough, the original title in the series is set to follow the likes of Splinter Cell, Rayman Origins and The Crew as Ubisoft's next Ubi30 entrant, which means gamers can grab the 2003 action-adventure game free-of-charge as of next week on October 12.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 has reportedly been in the works since 2008. Concept art for the game was also teased last week.
