Laser Disco Defenders has its release date announced
Gamers are invited to join the Laser Disco Defenders on their quest to defeat the evil Lord Monotone and prevent him from using the coveted Mirror Moon to force the galaxy into dancing along to his, and only his, tune. This Autumn you will need to be on your toes as you dodge the laser beams fired, taking care as they ricochet off walls. The time is now to face off Monotone’s various robotic machinations!

Features:

  • Randomly generated levels set across three areas, each with their own cave formations
  • Slow down time, spawn a black hole or swing the beam blade to defeat Lord Monotone’s minions

  • Online leaderboards show you the “master of the dance floor”
  • Incredibly groovy 70’s disco style soundtrack

Excalibur has also secured the right, courtesy of San Juan Music, to sell the original Disco Inferno soundtrack by The Trammps alongside Laser Disco Defenders on Steam.  The version of Disco Inferno on offer features all of the original singers most notably Jimmy Ellis who died in 2012.

“If you had told me a year ago that I would be releasing my own disco themed game, I wouldn’t have believed you! It’s been a lot of fun working with Excalibur to bring this game and the groovy universe it takes place in to life, so I’m really looking forward to see the reception to the game,”  Alexander Birke, creator of Laser Disco Defenders.

Laser Disco Defenders release on PC digitally (via Steam) and in retail on September 29.
The PlayStation 4 digital release is scheduled for October 4.
The game is priced at £7.99/$9.99.
