The Evil Within and Rage did well enough to garner sequels, according to Bethesda Softworks vice president Pete Hines.

Though not confirming whether or not they were in development, in an interview with Finder Hines mentioned that not saying anything now is to prevent people from jumping on to the wrong conclusions. He went on to state that he personally loved Rage, and that most of Bethesda's teams are hard at work on a lot of great projects at the moment.

The Evil Within, developed by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami's Tango Gameworks, and id Software's first open-world game, Rage, were released in 2014 and 2011, respectively. At the time of this writing each has nothing officially announced for them in the nearby future.
